We are excited to announce that we will soon begin much-needed renovations at our Old Louisville office on 117 E. Kentucky Street. The clinic on our main campus has been operating at its current location in a former elementary school built in 1886, so we look forward to redesigning and upgrading outdated facilities to reflect the high level of services we proudly provide to our community.
Renovations will begin on June 1 and are expected to last about five months. During this time, we will be scheduling appointments at our other offices, one of which is on the same campus and another at the Masonic Homes campus off Frankfort Avenue. If you have an upcoming appointment at the Old Louisville office, one of our patient care coordinators will call you to get you scheduled at one of our other clinic locations.
By renovating and updating approximately 20,000 square feet of our facilities, we will be able to serve 30% more patients than we do today, with space to expand our specialized services, add cutting-edge equipment and decrease appointment scheduling times. Thank you for continuing to choose Heuser Hearing Institute for your care. As a patient of our nonprofit clinic, you are supporting students with hearing loss or speech, language and communication disorders, as all proceeds fund programs for Heuser Hearing & Language Academy. We appreciate your patience as we embark on this exciting new chapter.
How long will the temporary closure last?
The closure is expected to last for approximately five months, from June through October.
Will I still be able to see my provider, or will I have to see someone else?
You will continue to see your same provider. The only change is that your appointments will take place at a different location during the temporary closure.
Will my appointment date and time change?
If you already have an appointment scheduled, your date and time will remain the same. You will still see your provider at the scheduled time, just at a different location!
I have an upcoming appointment. When will I be contacted about being scheduled elsewhere?
If you already have an appointment scheduled, you will be notified of your appointment location no later than 24 hours before your scheduled time. The address will also be included in your appointment confirmation texts. Please review all messages carefully in the days leading up to your appointment to stay informed of any updates.
How can I stay updated?
We will provide updates on our website and on social media. Follow our social media pages, linked at the bottom of this page, for renovation closure and timeline updates and information.
Our walk-in clinic will be closed during the renovation. Please call our office at (502) 584-3573 if you need hearing aid cleaning, services or supplies.
