Lauren Lawston
Lauren Lawston is currently completing her externship at Heuser Hearing Institute. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Wisconsin– Eau Claire and went on to receive her Doctor of Audiology degree from A.T. Still University in Mesa. She is currently completing her audiology residency at UC Health in Cincinnati.
Lauren’s clinical interests include cochlear implants and vestibular treatment. She was inspired to enter the field of audiology after taking a single undergraduate course that sparked her passion. She quickly realized the profound impact hearing healthcare can have not only on patients, but also on their families.
One of Lauren’s proudest accomplishments has been transitioning from student to clinician, applying classroom knowledge in real-world settings and developing the confidence and skills to provide patient-centered care. She strives to create a calm, supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered. By building trust and working collaboratively, Lauren focuses on finding personalized solutions that best fit each individual’s needs.
Originally from a small town near Winona, Lauren grew up in a close-knit and active family. She has two brothers and is the proud fun aunt to two nephews. Family time often includes friendly competition—whether it’s pickleball matches or running around the family farm with their dogs. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with friends (especially her dog, Toast), exploring new places, hiking, working out, or relaxing with a good book or show.
