{"id":10446,"date":"2023-08-31T16:42:43","date_gmt":"2023-08-31T20:42:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thehearinginstitute.org\/?p=10446"},"modified":"2023-08-31T16:42:44","modified_gmt":"2023-08-31T20:42:44","slug":"alumni-spotlight-riley-ennis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thehearinginstitute.org\/alumni-spotlight-riley-ennis\/","title":{"rendered":"Alumni Spotlight: Riley Ennis"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Riley\u00a0Ennis is a junior at Sacred Heart Academy (SHA) and a proud HHLA alum from the class of 2012.\u00a0\u00a0Riley\u00a0credits HHLA with building her a strong foundation both academically and personally.\u00a0 Since graduating from Heuser,\u00a0Riley\u00a0has grown into a bright and outgoing young woman.\u00a0 Throughout her academic career she has pushed hard to excel in hopes of achieving her goal to be an Anesthesiologist.\u00a0 She continues to thrive at SHA where she was accepted into the International Baccalaureate \/ AP program.\u00a0 In addition to her academics, she is also a SHA Ambassador, a member of the Jean Frazier Leadership program, a member of the SHA swim team, and the Founder and President of the SHA ASL club.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"342\" height=\"256\" src=\"https:\/\/thehearinginstitute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/thumbnail_IMG_7786-1-edited.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10461\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u00a0Riley\u00a0is also a member of the SHA KYA and KUNA youth government clubs where she had the honor of being on a team that created a bill to mandate AED equipment and training at all schools in the Commonwealth.\u00a0 A bill that not only passed the mock KYA legislator, but also passed through the state congress with overwhelming bipartisan support making it a new law in Kentucky.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehearinginstitute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/riley-and-andy-beshear.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10459\" width=\"372\" height=\"278\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehearinginstitute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/riley-and-andy-beshear.png 1000w, https:\/\/thehearinginstitute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/riley-and-andy-beshear-768x574.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 372px) 100vw, 372px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Outside of school,&nbsp;Riley&nbsp;enjoys hanging out with friends and spending time with her family at the lake.&nbsp; When she isn\u2019t in the water at the lake, she is in the pool either swimming for the neighborhood team or helping coach younger kids as a member of the St. Patrick swim team student coaching staff.&nbsp;
