She&nbsp;is now 13 and a seventh&nbsp;grader at Christian Academy.&nbsp;Since leaving HHLA, Abby&nbsp;has done exceptionally well\u2014she\u2019s a great student, friend and very outgoing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of Abby\u2019s favorite pastimes is field hockey. She&nbsp;plays field hockey for her school team and is also a club player for IFHCK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, don\u2019t let her petite frame fool you; Abby is as tough as they come and goes through life full speed ahead.&nbsp;Being a middle school girl can be tough, but&nbsp;Abby&nbsp;has always been very mature and confident, which her parents say is due to HHLA helping start her off in the right direction.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehearinginstitute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/thumbnail_abby-baker-hhla.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10011\" width=\"190\" height=\"254\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehearinginstitute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/thumbnail_abby-baker-hhla.jpg 960w, https:\/\/thehearinginstitute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/thumbnail_abby-baker-hhla-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 190px) 100vw, 190px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Without HHLA, things could be much different for\u00a0Abby\u00a0today, but she\u2019s absolutely thriving, and her speech and language are quite impressive.\u00a0Abby has her head on right and makes good decisions that her parents know will continue to propel her to future success.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Abby Baker graduated from HHLA in 2014.
