The hearing health care profession has not given up on the house call, but like others, we have moved toward more convenient, efficient methods to provide care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our team of home care providers includes audiologists, hearing aid dispensers, audiology assistants and technical assistants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who We Help<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Heuser Hearing Institute provides the same type of assessment whether you\u2019re in the comfort of your own home or one of our clinics. We\u2019re committed to private, personalized assessments that meet your hearing health care needs and lifestyle. Our providers have the flexibility to meet the needs of an independent retirement community all the way to a residential nursing facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because our goal is to meet the needs of the individual, we can be the sole provider of hearing health and fall risk prevention in your facility or work with an on-site rehabilitation group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We offer a variety of services within our home care program, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Hearing assessment<\/li><li>Cerumen (wax) removal<\/li><li>Cognitive and balance screenings<\/li><li>Hearing aid fitting, dispensing, programming and maintenance<\/li><li>Aural rehabilitation<\/li><li>Health care provider training<\/li><li>Patient support training<\/li><li>Pharmaceutical review for ear and hearing health<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">House Call Fees<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All house calls will have a $75 patient fee for first time visits within 30 miles of our downtown facility and $45 for all subsequent visits. The house call fee does not cover services provided, but is simply a fee for travel. Patients are encouraged to maintain a hearing aid service package. For patients receiving diagnostic services, procedures will be billed to insurance and additional patient fees may still apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">COVID-19 Fee Reductions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are modifying our services to improve access to hearing health care to those at greatest risk<strong>. <\/strong>For those patients living at home but waiting on hearing assistance, like hearing aids, or with abrupt changes to their hearing health, <strong>we are waiving our house-call patient fee.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As always, Heuser Hearing Institute wants to be able to connect with you. We provide telecare and remote video sessions for audiology, speech-language therapy and integrative counseling and wellness support.
