Makayla Harvey joined Heuser in 2020 as the Executive Assistant to CEO Brett Bachmann, right before the challenges of COVID-19 hit. Makayla has an impressive and dynamic career that began in the corporate world, where she gained valuable experience as a young professional in human resources, sales, leadership development and strategic planning. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in marketing from Marshall University, having graduated in December 2015 after just 3 \u00bd years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Makayla quickly connected with Heuser\u2019s mission and the team (since her father is a retired colonel from the U.S. Army who experiences hearing impairment), and her tenure here has been marked by significant personal milestones. She married her husband, Thomas, during the peak of the pandemic and welcomed her first child, Greyden, in September 2021. Despite pregnancy complications with her second child, Gwendolyn, born in May 2023, Makayla remained involved with Heuser through special projects while taking time to care for her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Makayla is now returning as Brett\u2019s Executive Assistant, experiencing a full circle moment as Heuser begins providing childcare, enabling her to continue her professional growth while balancing motherhood.
