The Heuser Hearing & Language Academy is a specialized preschool and kindergarten program designed around the needs of students with speech, language, and processing disorders and delays. The academy meets the needs of these children with an educational setting that follows state-mandated curriculum guidelines, an outstanding Arts Program, low student-teacher ratios, the latest learning and listening technologies, and top-notch teaching by our caring and experienced team of master’s level deaf educators.
Giving children with speech and hearing challenges a positive early learning experience is not only important for them socially—it’s vital for their developmental process. We aim to equip children with the skills, abilities, and knowledge to live a successful life that’s no less enriching than their hearing-able peers.
The Heuser Hearing & Language Academy utilizes strategies and tools that have been proven highly effective for deaf and hard of hearing children through extensive educational and medical research. The Heuser Hearing Institute is home to an outstanding research center and and outstanding hearing clinics in multiple locations throughout Kentucky. These help us better serve the children who attend our school along with their families.
