Ingrid Edwards, AuD, FAAA, CCC-A
Audiology Team Leader
Dr. Edwards completed her Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders at the University of Louisville in 1994 and received her Doctorate in Audiology in 2007 from Arizona School of Health Sciences. Dr. Edwards holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is licensed to practice audiology in the states of Kentucky and Indiana. Dr. Edwards worked as an audiologist and practice manager in a private practice setting for six years before coming to Heuser Hearing Institute in 2001. Her primary areas of expertise include diagnosis and treatment of the dizzy patient and electrophysiology of hearing and balance.
Angie Beach, AuD, CCC-A
Dr. Beach completed her Master’s in Audiology at the University of Louisville in 1999 and her Doctorate in Audiology from A.T. Still University in 2012. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed to practice audiology in Kentucky and Indiana as well as work as a Hearing Instrument Specialist in Kentucky. Prior to working at Heuser Hearing Institute, she worked in the private practice setting primarily with adults with hearing and balance issues. Angie joined the Heuser Hearing Institute team in 2006 and works with both the pediatric and adult populations.
Tamara Engels, CCC-A
Tamara completed her Master’s degree at Purdue University in 1982 and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is licensed to practice audiology in the state of Kentucky. Tamara worked as an audiologist for four years at Kaiser Hospital in San Francisco prior to coming to Heuser. Prior to that, she worked for 17 years at an ENT group in Indianapolis. Her primary focus at Heuser is the diagnosis and treatment of dizzy patients and electrophysiology of hearing and balance.
Nicholas Leahy, AuD
Dr. Leahy received his Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Louisville in 2015. He is licensed to practice audiology in the state of Kentucky and completed his clinical fellowship at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. His primary areas of interest include vestibular services, tinnitus, electrophysiology, and hearing aid management.
Brandi McGraw, AuD, CCC-A
Dr. McGraw completed her undergraduate degree in Communicative Disorders at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2011 and received her Doctorate in Audiology in 2015 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Dr. McGraw holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed to practice audiology in the state of Kentucky. She joined the Heuser Hearing Institute team to support the growing pediatric population in areas of diagnostics, amplification and cochlear implantation.
Margaret Denison, AuD, CCC-A
Dr. Denison completed her Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders at Central Michigan University in 2010 and received her Doctorate in Audiology in 2014 from Central Michigan University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is licensed to practice audiology in the state of Kentucky. Her primary areas of expertise include adult diagnostics and rehabilitative services.
C. Beth Feltner, AuD
C. Beth Feltner obtained her undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders from Eastern Kentucky University and her Doctorate in Audiology from Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. She is excited to return to Heuser after completing her clinical externship here in 2016-17.
Prior to pursuing a career in audiology, Beth taught English in Japan for four years. Her clinical interests include adult and pediatric diagnostics and cochlear implants.
Lindsay Brissette, Audiology Assistant
Lindsay earned both her bachelor’s degree in studio art and master’s degree in teaching art education from University of Louisville. She worked for a local glass studio for several years while also working on her own art. Before coming to Heuser, Lindsay taught art for the Archdiocese of Louisville. She became interested in transitioning to a career as a hearing instrument specialist after receiving hearing aids for her own hearing loss. Her goal is to improve the quality of life for others with hearing loss. Lindsay is currently a patient care coordinator and will soon begin her apprenticeship at Heuser to become a licensed hearing instrument specialist.
Tiffanie Fuller, Audiology Assistant
Tiffanie began her journey at Heuser Hearing Institute in 2009 as a patient care coordinator in the front office. Shortly after, she became the team leader and supervised the front desk staff for a year before becoming an Audiometric Assistant in 2010. Tiffanie received on-the-job training and worked with the vestibular team for a year helping identify and treat positional vertigo while being supervised by a registered audiologist. Tiffanie then began training and working with the pediatric team in 2012. She assisted in testing children at both the clinic and Heuser Hearing Language Academy. She currently provides clinical services, cleaning and servicing the hearing aids. She is also training in preparation for obtaining her hearing instrument license, a goal inspired by her work at Heuser. Tiffanie enjoys servicing the community and helping them resolve hearing aid issues. She is dedicated to ensuring her patients receive the best hearing care possible.
Claire Miller, Audiology Assistant
Claire graduated from the University of Louisville in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, with additional coursework in History and Education. She worked for Jefferson County Public Schools at our school, The Heuser Hearing & Language Academy, as an ECE Instructional Assistant for almost six years before joining the support and clinic staff at the Heuser Hearing Institute. She cares deeply about the mission of both our school and clinic, and is excited to continue working in the fields of Educational Audiology and Pediatric Audiology among our many specialties offered at Heuser.
Megan Trinkle, Alan Kunz, & Courtney Snider, Audiology Externs
Megan Trinkle is a fourth-year audiology resident currently finishing up her doctoral program at Indiana University, where she also received her undergraduate degree. She is originally from New Albany, Indiana and loves being back in the Louisville area. Megan really appreciates Heuser’s level of outreach within the community. Since starting at Heuser, Megan has met some of the most caring and helpful people both on staff and as patients. She enjoys how much the patients at Heuser love helping students learn and how much the staff cares deeply for their patients and coworkers. Megan loves coming to work because Heuser feels like family.
Alan Kunz, a Louisville native, earned his undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Washington-Seattle. He is currently finishing his fourth year in the Doctor of Audiology program at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln while participating in an externship at Heuser. Here, he has learned many valuable skills necessary for becoming a good provider and grown to appreciate Heuser’s mission and the camaraderie with his coworkers. However, what Alan most enjoys about working for Heuser is the impromptu dance parties!
Courtney Snider is a fourth-year audiology resident and currently finishing her studies at the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium in Akron, OH. She is originally from Orlando, FL and received her undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University. Since starting at Heuser, she has had the opportunity of experiencing everything the field of audiology has to offer. While working in the field, she has enjoyed collaborating with her fellow audiologists and the rest of Heuser’s supportive staff and furthermore loves the fun nature that comes from working with the team.
