Emily Robbins joined the Heuser Hearing Institute as a speech-language pathologist in July 2015. She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Kentucky. Emily has dedicated her career to serving individuals with communication disorders, including those with hearing loss, processing disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, apraxia, social pragmatic disorders and receptive and expressive language disorders. Emily has worked with both adults and pediatrics in a variety of setting including hospitals, clinics, First Steps and schools.
Prior to joining Heuser Hearing Institute, Emily worked for the Baltimore City Public Schools for four years, as a speech-language pathologist. She served as the primary speech-language pathologist for an elementary-middle school and worked to advocate and support parents and families in navigating the IEP process. Emily works to maintain her partnership with the school community by providing school-based speech therapy to some of Louisville’s private schools, as well as speech and hearing screenings and social skills groups. In her spare time, Emily enjoys teaching yoga and spending time with her husband, son, and dog.
