First Steps Developmental Interventionist/ Early Childhood Teacher
Amanda Taylor joined Heuser Hearing Institute in 2014 and is a First Steps developmental interventionist, helping infants and toddlers reach developmental milestones. Her bachelor degree in biology and marine science was obtained from Coastal Carolina University. She received her Master of Science in education with an emphasis in interdisciplinary early childhood education from the University of Kentucky. She is a member of the Kentucky Association for Early Childhood Education (KAECE). She has a published article in the Journal of Applied Behavioral Analysis.
Prior to joining HHI, Amanda was an interpretive ranger at Myrtle Beach State Park for several years where she educated the general public about the natural resources of the coastal park. She then taught middle school science in South Carolina. After moving back to Kentucky, she began the coursework to become an interdisciplinary early childhood educator. Amanda enjoys bike riding, hiking and spending time with her husband and three boys.
